album covers + tour posters
The task was to create three original type-only (no images) album covers and choose one of the three to create a matching set of 3 concert/tour posters. The album covers I designed are for SZA's "SOS", NewJeans' "New Jeans" EP, and XG's "Shooting Star." I chose to use my "Shooting Star" album typography to create three world tour posters.
Each design is inspired by the unique sound and personality of each artist and their album's songs. SZA's "SOS" conveys the feeling of contemplative loneliness, NewJeans "New Jeans" presents a Y2K nostalgic youthful concept, and XG's "Shooting Star" is futuristic and otherworldly.
Fun fact: The negative space in my "New Jeans" typography design is supposed to represent NewJean's playful bunny mascot and their fandom name, "Bunnies"!
